Intake Date: 10/20/2021
A fun-loving little girl who would love to be part of your family. Listens very well. She has been here for a very long time and now believes the shelter is her home. We are still hoping for her to get a home soon Excellent on the leash. She loves her toys. Dog selective. Has had DHPP
Smith, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 4/26/2022
Smith was brought to us as a surrender and this is his 2nd time being here. He is very energetic and very loving. He does need ways of getting his energy out every day which makes him a little hard to place with a new family. When Smith was surrendered the 2nd time we found him tied to a telephone pole with 3 feet of space and a soaking wet dog box for shelter. We are happy Smith is back in our care but he still deserves his forever home. DHPP shot given. Unsure on cats. Dog Selective
Brutus, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 9/1/2022
Brutus came into the shelter as a surrender. He has tested great with other dogs, but not a big fan of cats. He has a lot of energy and loves to run. This pit mix is about 5-6 years old, and is waiting for his forever home. With a proper introduction into a home, he will make an amazing family member. Does not do well with cats. Has had DHPP
Nimble, Female
Intake Date: 10/14/2022
Nimble was surrendered along with several other hounds from a previous hunting lodge. She is-- extremely sweet, well-mannered, and was very spoiled and taken care of at her previous home. She would love to be a family dog or could still be a great hunting dog. Does well with other dogs Has had DHPP vaccine.

Riddle was surrendered along with several other hounds from a previous hunting lodge. He is about 4 years old and loves to get into trouble. Hardy, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 11/18/2022
Hardy was surrendered along with other hounds from a former hunting club. Hardy is a very well-mannered and gentle dog. He is on the bigger side of hounds but still acts like a little lap dog. Does well with other dogs, unsure of cats.
Sasha, Female
Intake Date: 1/18/2023
Sasha came in as a stray and sadly was never redeemed by an owner. She has been an amazing dog and does great with kids. Super friendly and listens to some basic commands. The estimated age is 3 years old and she, unfortunately, has tested positive for heartworms. Does not have DHPP. Unsure on other dogs/cats
Chaos, Male
Intake Date: 1/24/2023
Chaos was brought to our shelter due to his original owner sadly passing away. Not much is known about Chaos as far as medical information, but from what we do know is he is a big friendly boy. He does appear to have been mostly an outside dog, but does not mean he can be a happy indoor pup. Estimated age of 10 years old, he still seems to have tons of energy in him. Unknown behavior with dogs/cats. !st DHPP given 3/7/23
Harley, Female
Harley was recently surrendered to the shelter after being found left in a home for months with very little care provided. She is very sweet and loves to make herself known with her unique bark. She did come in with another dog that she gets along with but has not been tested with other dogs or cats. Positive for Lyme Disease, in the process of treatment. DHPP given.
Red, Female (Spayed)
Intake Date: 5/10/22
Red is a sweet high energy princess! She loves belly rubs and affection. She gets very excited when meeting new people and loves everyone. Red was part of a cruelty case and has become ours. Due to the nature of the case, she cannot be adopted in our county. DHPP Given
Big Girl, Female
Intake Date: 10/1/22
This 87lb goofball is waiting for adoption. She was returned to the shelter after becoming protective of the female family member that adopted her. She is still a very sweet pup but may work better in a home with no other dogs. She is estimated to be about 2-3 years old. Selective with other dogs Has had DHPP
Zeus, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 3/18/23
Zeus was brought to the shelter less than 7 hours after he was adopted from another county. He is a sweet lovable pup that has a mind of a puppy. He is estimated to be about 1 year old and friendly to all. We are unsure how he is with cats, but he is dog selective. Not tested for heartworms at AC.
Cleo, Female (Spayed)
Intake Date: 3/23/23
Cleo has recently surrendered to us after not getting along with other pups in the house. She is a very gentle, sweet, and beautiful shepherd mix. She listens to commands very well and loves meeting new people. She is a little shy at first but once she warms up to you she is an energetic fur ball. Cleo possibly has stressed induced seizures but has not yet confirmed by shelter staff.
Tyson, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 3/25/23
Tyson is a young pit mix that was surrendered to our shelter. He was living in an apartment that was way too small for all of his pup energy. He is about 12 months old and is built like a tank. But his personality is full puppy mode! Has DHPP shots. Heartworms Negative
Ajax, Male (Neutered)
Intake Date: 4/1/23
Ajax was surrendered due to not getting along with other dogs. Approx. a year ago, Ajax was attacked by dogs and never recovered from it. He did grow up with another dog but would have issues with play and get a little snippy. Ajax does not trust new people and needs a slow introduction into any home. He is a loving and very loyal pup once you let him get to know you.
Jemini, Female (Spayed)
Intake Date: 4/3/23
Meet Jemini. She has been surrendered to the shelter due to the family no longer being able to care for her. She is alittle shy and likes to bark, but that’s just her way of saying hello. She is about 6 years old but still has a ton of energy. She is a smaller pit mix and loves to eat! Up to date on DHPP

As of 4/17/2023 (In order of longest time to shortest time in our shelter)
Meadow, Male
Intake Date: 8/14/2022
Meadow gets the award for most positive change in a cat. This 6.1 lb boy was acting feral and aggressive when he came in and we had to wear gloves just to clean his cage. He ended up with a severe URI and our vets got him better and now he is a sweet boy. He loves human affection now, literally comes up to us for pets and gloves are a thing in the past. This boy is very unique looking. He gets along great with his neighbor and he combo tested N/N. Meadow was treated for earmites with Revolution and is available now.
Johnny, Male
Intake Date: 9/6/2022
Johnny was found as a stray and although he is skittish, he does let us pet him some. Johnny came in weighing 7.8 lbs but he loves all food so we know he will be gaining weight. His neighbor was not being kind to Johnny and all Johnny did was move away, never once hissed or acted out. This boy is special to us, we so badly want to show him that humans are good and he can enjoy the love that we show him.
Marie, Female
Intake Date: 9/22/2022
Marie was brought in by a guy that trapped her after his tenants moved and left cats behind. This 8.8 lbs girl is shy but not aggressive and we are hoping she will come fully around so she can be an indoor pet and not a barn cat.
Hayden, Male
Intake Date: 12/30/2022
Hayden came in with several others kitties after complaints from someone saying there were many strays in a certain area. This little boy is a little nervous around new people, but we are able to pet him and know that he will come fully around with time and patience. Hayden only weighed in at 3.5lbs and we think he was probably born around July 2022.
Hamilton, Male
Intake Date: 12/31/2022
Hamilton came in with several others kitties after complaints from a citizen saying there were many strays in a certain area. Hamilton is a bit nervous around new people but we will continue to work with him to make him feel safe and become the trusting kitty he deserves to be. Hamilton is the biggest of the kitties from this location at 4.7 lbs and we believe he was probably born around July 2022.
Howard, Male
Intake Date: 1/4/2023
Howard came in with several other kitties after complaints from a citizen saying there were many strays in a certain area. This little boy is a little nervous right now, but he is not feral and in time will come around. Howard only weighed in at 3.8 lbs and we think he was probably born around July 2022.
